Course description

Can you imagine a world without computers?

From browsing social media, to texting your friends; playing your favourite games console, to listening to your music on iTunes - computers play an integral part of modern life and the industry is bustling with opportunities.

Our animation and games courses will prepare you for a career in a creative industry that is rich in possibilities, both within the UK and overseas. You’ll develop sought-after techniques such as 2D and 3D animation, 3D modelling, concept art and illustrations to gain a competitive edge to prepare you for university or employment. Alongside your programme you’ll also be given the opportunity to work on real projects for real clients and have talks from industry experts. Our computing courses are designed to provide you with the skills you need to get a career in IT or go on to further study – with the opportunity to develop your skills in software, networking and web design just some of the pathways we have on offer.

We have strong links with local industry businesses and you’ll have the opportunity to take part in national competitions such as Match Fit and The World Skills Show. You will also work on real jobs for real clients and be able to develop your skills so that you are ready for the world of work or for further study.

Our courses are delivered by experienced tutors who recognise what skills and techniques employers are looking for.
