Electrical Installation Level 3 Diploma at Knowsley Community College

Course description

The L3 Advanced Diploma in Electrical Installation is intended as a technical level qualification. It has been specifically designed for students who have already completed a L2 Diploma in Electrical Installation and would like to progress into a career as an Electrician. The qualification has been adapted from the QCF Diploma within the apprenticeship framework, therefore successful completion of the qualification facilitates progression to the industry recognised qualification. You will be taught in fantastic state of the art facilities by professionally experienced and supportive staff. NOTE. This course does not qualify you to be an electrician but is a step towards becoming a fully qualified electrician.

Entry requirements

A Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation or equivalent. A positive attitude to learning is required and GCSEs in the A* - C range including English, Mathematics and Science at grade A* - C. You will also be required to sit an initial assessment and demonstrate an interest in your chosen course at interview. You should also have good colour vision. You will have to successfully complete an induction programme to confirm suitability for this course.

Financial information

You will need to obtain a pair of safety boots and buy a college polo shirt bespoke to electrical installation. Stationery equipment will also be required for theory sessions.

Future opportunities

Apprenticeship and/or Industry experience to prove vocational competence.
