City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Hairdressing at Kingston College

Course description

This course offers the opportunity to develop skills in hairdressing, providing the foundation for a range of work opportunities in an industry that is both interesting and varied.

Course content

This is a practical programme covering the principles and application of: shampooing and conditioning treatments, colouring and lightening hair, styling, finishing, setting, dressing and cutting women’s hair. Your learning programme may also include GCSE English or Mathematics, depending on your requirements.

Entry requirements

A minimum of three GCSEs at grade C/4 or D/3 to include English or Mathematics and a Level 1 Certificate in Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy.

All applicants will be interviewed to establish their suitability for the course and a satisfactory reference is required.
