Mathematics GCSE (Mature) at Burntwood School

Course description

This is a one year course where students continue to work on the National Curriculum Attainment Targets : Geometry and Measure, Number, Ratio, Proportion and Rates of Change, Algebra and Statistics and Probability. Most lessons are teacher led, although there are plenty of opportunities for independent and group work. In order to improve a GCSE grade, students are expected to demonstrate a high level of commitment, including at least three hours homework per week.

Entry requirements

All sixth form students who have not gained at least a standard pass in Mathematics must attend GCSE Maths
