Diploma in Sport - Level 3 at South Thames College
This course will help develop your understanding of sports and fitness and prepare you for the university-level study or help boost your skills that should give you better job prospects.
Although the course is still being finalised, and is subject to validation, the units you'll be studying in the first year are likely to be:
- Fitness training and programming
- Health, sport and wellbeing
- Sports leadership
- Fitness testing
- Anatomy and physiology.
To be confirmed but will probably be four GCSEs grades A*-C in relevant subjects, including English and maths, or a related Level 2 qualification at least at merit.
You'll be assessed through practical performance and a portfolio of work that you'll build up over the course.
If you complete the course successfully you should be able to progress onto university-level study or look for work.
You'll need good quality trainers and fitness gear to complete your practical work.
