Business Level 3 at Sowerby Bridge High School

Course description

Businesses are the heart of the economy. They develop innovation, create wealth within communities and lead the way in enhancing the skills of the UK workforce.

This course covers a wide range of units and it is an ideal foundation for students entering the workplace, providing them with a theoretical background reinforced with practical skills that transfer into the modern workplace or in further study. This qualification is assessed by coursework only and is available in a single and double award.

Entry requirements

A minimum of 5 GCSE passes A*-C or equivalent in 3 or more subject areas (CC grades required to study Science).

Future opportunities

This course is the equivalent of A Levels and is accepted with the same UCAS points by universities.The course covers all aspects of business and with further training you may wish to specialise and study a professional qualification in your chosen area such as Marketing, Retail or Customer Service.The course provides a work related programme of study so you could go straight into a job as it helps you develop the skills, understanding and knowledge that many employers are looking for.
