Health & Social Care (Applied) A Level at Queen Mary's College

Course description

This course is particularly relevant for those students who wish to enter, or have a strong interest in, the health, social care and early years fields including nursing, midwifery and social work. In the AS year you will study a variety of important areas and issues, including units in providing quality care, communication in care settings and promoting good health. Throughout the year you will be involved in a range of activities including group and individual research, class debates and presentations. In the second, A2 Level, year you will build your understanding to look at care practice and provision in a number of fields including mental health. The course allows progression on to higher education courses or employment.
