Sport First Award Subsidiary Diploma level 2 at Brentwood County High School

Course description

The 2 mandatory units are; Unit 1 – Fitness for Sport and Exercise and Unit 2 Practical Sports Performance. Unit 1 is also the unit that is externally assessed and will be done so through an onscreen test. The course will then be made up of 2 optional units from the following 4; Unit 3 – The Mind and Sports Performance; Unit 4 – the Sports Performer in Action; Unit 5 – training for Personal Fitness; Unit 6 – Leading Sports Activities

Entry requirements


To do A levels students will need at least 5A*-C at GCSE to be accepted to do A-levels. They will need to achieve at least a grade B to study certain subjects (See our 6th form choices form). To do level 3 BTECS students will need at least 5A*-C at GCSE. To do level 2 BTECS students will need at least 4Es at GCSE. All students doing level 3 qualifications can also do global perspectives or Level 3 Core Maths. Any student who has not achieved a grade C at GCSE Maths and/or English will be expected to continue these as part of their study
