Environmental Studies (Countryside Management) BTEC Extended Diploma Level 3 at Burnley College

Course description

Core modules include the principles of wildlife populations, ecology and conservation, estate skills and an investigative project in the land-based sector. Optional modules include plant science, countryside tourism, freshwater and wetland management and woodland management.

You will study topics including ecology and conservation, estate management, plant science, countryside tourism and environmental issues

Entry requirements

Five GCSEs at grade C or above including English Language or Mathematics OR a relevant Level 2 Diploma with a Merit grade or above and a GCSE grade C in English Language or Mathematics.

Assessment

Assessment is via coursework and practical work experience in a land-based setting.

Future opportunities

University programmes and career opportunities including conservation and countryside management, land management, ecology and environmental science, and subsequently a career within related areas.
