Why should I study English Language?
To understand the way the world works. English Language enables you to understand the manipulative power of the spoken and written word.
You will have the chance to be a writer instead of just analysing other people’s writing. If you enjoy analysing conversations and texts from rap to recipes this is the choice for you.
What will I be doing on the course?

There will be theory lessons, discussions, research and debates but also assignments involving presentations.
Students will need to have at least a Grade B or above in both English Language and English Literature.
How will I be assessed?
The new A Levels will be linear so the assessment of the student’s work will take place at the end of the two year A Level course.
