Course description

Technology controls every aspect of our life. Designers are a very important part of society if we are to develop the future. Through this course we teach students the skills and processes of the industrial world and allow them to experience the Design Process used by many famous companies such as Apple and Nike. Over the two years students will develop their design skills and have chance to design products for the future.

As well developing their skills in CAD/CAM and using specialist equipment such as laser cutters, vinyl cutters and dye sublimation. If you are creative and have flair and is excited by design and make then this course will allow you develop this further. Good design is vital to our world and is important therefore, that you as a future designer develop a passion for designing your future.

Entry requirements

GCSE grade C or a BTEC grade Merit in Design Technology or Art and Design ; - A keen interest in design and a motivation to succeed.
