Business Level 3 Diploma at Preston's College

Course description

With strong employer links and numerous industry projects, this course is designed to enhance your understanding of the wider business environment through practical experience and learning. By analysing real life business case studies, you will gain invaluable skills needed for further study and employment. This course also provides you with the unique opportunity to learn in the classroom, in the workplace and in our real work environments around campus.

Course content

You will learn the key functions of all businesses through financial accounting and management, the key practices of marketing and creative product promotion, how to recruit and motivate staff as well as understand the impact of economic and legal factors in the external environment. You will put into practice what you learn in the classroom through work place learning and work experience. In the second year you will undertake individual projects such as planning, researching and presenting your own business idea and model to a panel of business experts.

Entry requirements

You need five GCSE’s (or equivalent) at A*-C grade including English or maths with a minimum grade D for the other subject.
