Course description

Do you have a real interest in photography? Are you creative and fascinated by the world around you? Then this course could be for you. It will introduce you to an exciting variety of photographic materials, techniques and new technology applications, develop your contextual understanding, research and problem solving skills, critical awareness and time management abilities.

Entry requirements

A minimum of 12 points including 4 GCSEs at grade C or above to include GCSE English. Equivalent qualifications in a relevant discipline will be accepted with GCSE English at grade C or above or equivalent.

To progress to Year 2 you will be expected to achieve the UAL L3 Diploma in Year 1.

Applicants will be required bring a portfolio of Art & Design/Photography work to your interview.

Mature candidates will be considered on an individual basis.


You will be continually assessed throughout the course through set project work and a self-initiated final major project. Functional Skills are assessed by on-line exams and you will be given guidance and support to achieve these.
