Health and Social Care Level 2 BTEC First Extended Certificate at Accrington and Rossendale College

Course description

This is a one year programme, when completed learners are able to progress onto a level three programme. There are two externally assessed exam units and and the course requires 25 hours of work expereince in a health and social care setting.

  • Healthy living
  • Social influences on health and wellbeing
  • Equality and diversity in health and social care
  • Human body systems and care of disorders
  • Creative and therapeutic activities in health and social care

Entry requirements

Five GCSE’s at grade D or above (including english and maths).

Assessment

Through a mixture of exams and written essays.

Future opportunities

Learners can progress onto the Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3.
