Solid Plastering Level 2 Apprenticeship at Northumberland College
This course is for anyone who is employed as a plaster who would like to gain an Apprenticeship qualification. An Apprenticeship is an excellent way to earn money whilst gaining practical work experience.
You will study safe working practices in construction, building methods and construction technology, how to apply plaster materials to external and internal surfaces, fix dry lining and plasterboard products to interiors, form sand and cement screeds and produce and fix plaster components. Ideal if you are employed as a plasterer and wish to develop your skills and gain a recognised qualification.
You should have two GCSEs at Grade D or above in English and Maths, or a relevant Level 1 qualification and be employed in the industry.
Your progress will be assessed on site by carrying out practical activities relating to trade work and by building a portfolio of evidence of your trade competence. You will receive guidance and support relating to your progress throughout the qualification programme.
After successfully completing the Apprenticeship, you could progress on to a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Plastering.
