Hairdressing C&G Level 2 Diploma at Northbrook College Sussex

Course description

This course is for people who want to gain employment in the hairdressing industry. You will learn to work as part of a team in a hairdressing environment, be competent in communicating in the workplace, consulting with clients, promoting products and deliver hairdressing services according with clients requirements. This course will provide you with an overview of the hairdressing industry and will also help you gain employment as a hairdresser apprentice.

Entry requirements

To start on this course you need:

At least 1 week’s work experience, an appropriate industry reference and

either GCSE English and Maths at grade D or above 
or a relevant Level 1 qualification, with at least 80% Merit profile, including Level 1 English and Maths.

(If you do not have the above qualifications, you may be able to start by doing a year on the Level 1 Introduction to Hair & Beauty before moving on to this Level 2 course.)

Future opportunities

After 1 year at Level 2 you an achieve a Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing or an Apprenticeship at Level 2
This means that you can progress to a Level 3 in industry (you will attend College 1 day per week) or a Level 3 (vocationally related qualification) in College.
