History A Level at Pimlico Academy

Course description

History is a highly academic and well sought after qualification. With A Level History universities understand that you have developed high levels of research skills, the competence to work independently and can analyse large amounts of text and sources to deduce and infer conclusions. Possible employment routes after studying History include banking and finance, public relations, researching education, administration, construction and really anything that requires you to be independent and able to form opinions.

Course content

A Level History students study three units over the two years.

Unit 1:The Tudors 1485-1603
Unit 2: The Cold War
Unit 3: British Empire historical enquiry

Entry requirements

Students must achieve grade B or above in History
