Level 2 BTEC Qualifications featuring Futsal as an enrichment tool

The National Colleges & Academies (NCA) Futsal Programme is the only official programme of its kind in the UK. Leading Colleges and Academies nationwide have partnered with @Futsal Group to deliver a pioneering sport and work-skills BTEC study programme.

The courses are delivered using @Futsal’s specially created online Virtual Learning Resource, which is called Inspire. This pioneering platform allows you to work remotely from electronic devices. So get away from conventional books and paper and enjoy learning by stepping into our 21st century learning portal!

If you’re aged 16-19 and interested in developing your skills in the classroom, on the pitch and in the workplace whilst working with a top educational establishment, the NCA Futsal Programme is for you. Top qualifications, top grades, top careers…unbelievable tekkers!

Course content

Through the state of the art platform, a range of practical session, futsal competitions and excellent teaching and learning sessions from experienced tutors your will cover units designed to open up a wide range of employment opportunities and access to university degrees in a range of areas within the sports industry, including sports coaching, teaching, physiotherapy and management. On the Level 3 course you will study areas of sport which include:

  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Fitness for sport and exercise
  • Training programming
  • Development of sport
  • Practical sport
  • Health, safety and injury

Entry requirements

In order to apply for the BTEC Level 2, you need a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade D or above including Maths & English and attend an admissions interview.

Future opportunities

Students who successfully complete the course can progress on to the Level 3 Diploma in Sport or apply for employment in the sports industry.
