Business Administration Apprenticeship Level 2 at Skills Team

Course description

The Skills Team intermediate level Business Administration Programme combines classroom-based IT training on the most commonly used business software programmes like Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook with skills development in personal effectiveness, communication and organisation.

This intermediate apprenticeship in business administration is a valuable combination of training, skills development and applied workplace learning which will help you to gain the following qualifications; Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration, plus certificates in English, Maths and ICT at the appropriate level. The programme works best when delivered alongside workplace-specific development goals and we actively encourage the involvement of the learner's line manager throughout.

Course content

Subjects that will be covered in the tutor led classroom sessions include:

Induction and overview - getting organised – the importance of an administrator in an organisation, personal performance and goal setting.

IT and Email -ICT fundamentals, IT equipment, Microsoft Outlook and business email.

Business structures - Understanding legal responsibilities, organisational structures and environments, plus who are your customers? Reading test.

IT in a business environment - ICT; Microsoft Word, producing and handling business documents. Maths test.

Communication and relationships - Working relationships and collaboration; communicating effectively in a business environment. Writing test.

Database skills – ICT; Microsoft Excel. ICT test.

Presentation skills – Speaking and listening skills assessment, including giving presentations.
