AS – 2 written examination papers

A2 – 3 written examination papers

Future opportunities

There are a wide range of university courses and careers associated with the Physical Sciences. There are those which are very obviously connected with Physics such as theoretical physics, mechanical engineering, astronomy, chemical engineering, medicine etc. There are, however, many other courses and careers where having an A level in Physics would be useful, including architecture, energy management, aviation, medical physics and particle physics.

Career prospects are very good for physical science graduates, particularly in this region with Sellafield and The Energy Coast employment opportunities.
