Agriculture Level 2 Diploma at Bicton College

Course description

This is a broad-based course providing you with practical experience and an alternative to GCSE entry onto the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Agriculture. It provides you with the ability to enter the industry as a competent employee with valuable industry skills.

Course content

Units include:

  • Animal production
  • Crop production
  • Environmental and land-based business
  • Estate skills
  • Machinery operations
  • Work-related experience

Functional Skills

You will also gain nationally regocnised Functional Skills qualifications (English, Maths and ICT).

Entry requirements

It is essential that your Initial Assessment results show that you are working at Level 1. In addition you will need to have achieved 4 GCSEs at grades A-D, including English Language, Maths and Science or equivalent.

Future opportunities

Successful students may progress to the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Agriculture, or the Apprenticeship in Agriculture.
