Sport Level 1 Diploma at Hull College Group

Course description

This qualification has been designed to help students understand the skills and knowledge needed to work in the sport and active leisure sector.

Students will be encouraged to participate in a wide range of sport and active leisure activities.

Through participation they will be required to demonstrate their ability to prepare for the activity, work in a team, manage time effectively and follow health and safety.

Entry requirements

No formal qualifications are required.

Future opportunities

Students of all ages will see that the qualification can lead to further study or career opportunities. Many students who complete the certificate go on to complete the full Diploma. This can then lead on to the BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Sport.

Further information

This course is re-engagement programme, for Learners who are not in full time education at their Home School and this course will run alongside their main curriculum

The College is also fortunate to have an active Student Union which hosts an annual ‘Freshers’ Fair’ for students at the beginning of the Autumn term and organises social events throughout the year.

      Hull College students benefit from some of the best facilities in the country – and that’s official! Our most recent Ofsted report stated that the College has “outstanding specialist facilities”.
