Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair: Heavy Vehicle - Advanced Apprenticeship at North London Garage Group Training Association

Course description

Carry out repairs on brakes, cooling, steering, gearing, suspension systems and inspect vehicles. Learn how to use state of the art computerised and electronic systems, gaining all relevant experience whilst working in a garage environment. You will be observed and assessed throughout your training programme and gain excellent Communication and Numeracy skills. To gain your Apprenticeship you will have to complete a Technical Certificate and Keyskills in Communication, Application of Number and ICT (if you have the required level of GCSE’s you will be exempt from Keyskills).

Entry requirements

Applicants to this programme are expected to have at least GCSE grade C or above in English, Maths and ICT.

Future opportunities

The course offers you a specialist work-based qualification to support a career in the motoring industry or to progress onto further education to study an NVQ level 4 or an HND in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or related subjects such as Roadside Recover
