Fashion Design and Production BTEC Level 3 at The Oxford Academy

Course description

The Level 3 National Diploma in Fashion Design and Production is a practical course for those students with an interest in fashion, drawing, photography, and like to work creatively. Through demonstration and discussion, you will learn how to develop techniques and specialist skills to create ideas in your own unique style, whilst working towards the final piece. Throughout each project, you will maintain a sketchbook to show your ideas, samples, designs and thoughts about artist and designer research. This will enable you to demonstrate your development towards realising your project outcomes.

At times, you will work in a self-directed format, planning your own time, researching and exploring your own design concepts. It is important that you have an interest in looking at the work of others so that you can begin to understand their skills, their techniques and methods. The fashion industry is based on people’s opinions; therefore, you will need to respond positively to the advice and criticisms offered through the course.
