Introduction to the Hospitality Industry Level 1 at Birmingham Metropolitan College (BMET)

Course description

You will practice your skills in a training room and undertake practical work experience within the College refectory, enabling you to learn in a real workplace setting. Functional skills maths and English are run as separate lessons throughout the year. Theory sessions are also timetabled into the week in order to help underpin the practical knowledge you've gained.

Entry requirements

You will undertake a practical assessment (taster day), where suitability will be determined.

Assessment

You will produce a portfolio which will include written work, video and photographic evidence to substantiate your learning and understanding.

Future opportunities

You may progress onto a Level 1 or 2 qualification or may choose to gain paid or voluntary employment.
