GCSE English at Walsall Adult & Community College

Course description

This course will be beneficial for people wishing to gain a level 2 qualification in English. This can then lead on to other further and higher education courses. If you simply have a general interest in the subject and want to learn more, then this would be ideal. /p>

Course content

This course will provide you the opportunity to develop your reading, writing and speaking and listening skills. You will study a play by Shakespeare, poetry, prose and enhance your creative writing skills. You will learn how to present a topic, participate in role play and improve group discussion skills

Entry requirements

You will need to have completed a Level 2 qualification in functional skills English, or have recently achieved a grade D in GCSE (within three years).

If you do not qualify for the GCSE English course we offer Functional English Skills level 2 as an alternative. Call the Guidance Team on 01922 663000 for more information.
