Interior Architecture and Product (3D) BTEC Extended Level 3 Diploma at Cleveland College of Art and Design
This course offers you the opportunity to develop your skills and interests into lucrative career pathways like interior design, architecture, product design or transport design, exhibition design, theatre and TV props design and furniture design.
Working in dedicated, specialist studios and workshops equipped with an extensive range of industry standard equipment, you will explore a fascinating range of materials and making processes, including laser cutting and 3D printing.
You will learn how to create, enhance and develop your designs using digital design tools like 3D StudioMax and Photoshop.
You will enjoy excellent industry links and be involved in a range of live projects set by architects and designers who help you to develop your ideas professionally. You also benefit from educational visits to places like Barcelona and field trips to places like Edinburgh, Holy Island, Newcastle and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
This course is ideal for you if you have a practical mind and really enjoy making and building things in 3D. Our applicants have all studied different GCSEs some art, some resistant materials, some graphic products, so if you have not done GCSE art, please do not let this put you off coming to visit us.
A minimum of four GCSEs A*-C including maths and English minimum D plus a portfolio of work.
Successful completion of the course will give you the qualifications and skills required to progress on to a range of degree courses or to go directly into industry. Careers include:
