Course description

What will I cover? Mandatory Units: a) Health, safety and security at work b) Develop effective working relationships with colleagues in logistics operations Choose 2 units from following: a) Pick goods in logistics operations b) Wrap and pack goods c) Place goods in storage. d) Process orders for customers e) Assemble orders for dispatch Choose 1 unit from each of the following: a) Maintain the cleanliness of equipment b) Keep work areas clean c) Maintain hygiene standards in handling and storing goods Choose 1 unit from each of the following: a) Moving and handling goods b) Use equipment to move goods c) Use forklift side-loader to move goods d) Use an industrial forklift truck to move goods e) Use a hoist f) Use a compact crane Choose 1 unit from each of the following: a) Keep stock at required levels b) Check stock levels and stock records. Choose 2 or 3 units from the following (in discussion with trainer) a) Operate equipment to perform work requirements b) Receive goods c) Maintain safety and security of hazardous goods and materials d) Process returned goods e) Sort goods and materials f) Supervise receipt, storage or dispatch of goods g) Contribute to the provision of customer service h) Principles of food safety
