Textiles involves the creation, selection, manipulation and application of a range of materials and processes in order to produce fabric for different uses. This course explores the practical, critical and contextual aspects of textiles work. You will develop a practical and critical appreciation of different materials, processes and resources and will analyse how ideas and feelings can be conveyed and interpreted in textiles. This course will also explore how social, cultural, ethical and political contexts are considered and can change in textiles.
