Level 3 Certificate/Subsidiary Diploma in Health & Social Care at Earl Mortimer College and Sixth Form Centre

Course description

This qualification is designed to meet the needs and abilities of a variety of learners and will provide you with an understanding of Health and Social Care in a range of work related contexts. There is a continual need for doctors, nurses, ambulance staff and support staff. There are lots of opportunities to work in hospitals, educational settings, residential homes occupational therapy, chiropody, social work and counselling. This course is a relevant start to any young person interested in a career in the caring professions. It will equip you for progression into further education or into the workplace. The courses for health and social care are coursework based.

There are no examinations and they are graded as a Pass, Merit or Distinction.

Previous experience and success in GCSE Child Development would be an advantage, but is not vital, as well as an interest in working with a range of service users.
