Horticulture Level 1 Diploma at Warwickshire College Group
In this introductory course to horticulture, you will have practical opportunities to learn a range of horticultural skills to set you on your career path.
You will have the opportunity to cover a range of units - these could include:
- Safe working practice
- Identify pests and diseases
- Propagation of plants
- Landscape construction
- Machinery introduction
- Maintain plants and areas
- Maintain lawns
- 3 GCSEs at grade E or above
- positive tutor recommendation
Applicants should have an aptitude for horticulture and be working towards Entry Level 2/3 in Literacy and Numeracy.
WHAT CAREERS CAN I GO ON TO?
After completing this course, you could work in the industry at a garden centre or plant nursery, landscaping company or National Trust.WHAT FURTHER STUDY OPPORTUNITIES ARE THERE?
You could go on to further study such as a Level 2 Diploma or an Apprenticeship in Horticulture.
