Sociology A level at South Devon College

Course description

A Level Sociology is for students who are interested in social life and current affairs. It is particularly useful for those who wish to pursue a career working with people. The course runs over two years and involves studying four subject modules. At AS Level you will be studying families and households and education. At A2 Level you will be studying beliefs in society and crime and deviance. Assessment for A Level Sociology is through four examinations. The lessons are delivered using a variety of teaching methods including discussion, debate and a group research task.
