Health & Social Care Level 2 Apprenticeship at Knowsley Community College
This wide ranging Diploma covers the skills and knowledge needed to care for others in a wide range of health and social care settings. You can choose a pathway that suits your work role. For example working with people with a learning disability, people with dementia or children and young people. You will also cover specific skills for the options you choose, this may include: administering medicine or helping people to eat and drink.
- Introduction to communication in health, social care or children's and young people's settings.
- Introduction to personal development in health, social care or children's and young people's settings.
- Introduction to equality and incusion in health, social care or children's and young people's settings.
- Introduction to duty of care in health, social care or children's and young people's settings.
Learners to complete Level 1 diagnostic assessments in English, Maths and IT (in most cases). All applicants will also have to complete a vocational aptitude test.
Achievement of this qualification can help you to succeed in a variety of job roles in this occupational sector. You may also progress to further qualifications and training at Level 3 which will include an NVQ Diploma relevant to your job role.
