Health and Social Care BTEC Level 3 90 Credit Diploma at Guildford College

Course description

This one year qualification has been specifically designed for students aiming to progress into higher education and vocational careers in health and social care areas. 

On successful completion of the 90 Credit Diploma, you can progress onto the Extended Diploma.

Entry requirements

Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above including English language, maths and science. You will need satisfactory references and a clear CRB check.

 

Assessment

The course is assessed by assignment work only. In addition, work placements are included in 4 different settings to give a wide experience of career possibilities and to develop confidence in working in the health and social care sector.

 

Future opportunities

On successful completion of the 90 Credit Diploma, you can progress on to complete the full Extended Diploma.

The Extended Diploma will allow you to progress on to university to study degrees in: nursing, operating department practice, paramedic sciences, physiotherapy, radiography, occupational therapy, podiatry, orthoptics, sociology, psychology, counselling, social work or primary school teaching.

It is also an excellent foundation for direct employment in health and social care settings in which further qualifications can be gained in the workplace.
