- Medical Assistant
An Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care will help prepare you to look after patients at home, abroad and in places such as Afghanistan. Except they won’t be NHS patients, young people or the elderly – they’ll be your crewmates – the people you live and work alongside every day.
Course content
Working in a base hospital, at sea or in the field, you’ll complete your Level 2 Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care as part of a dedicated, professional and caring team.

You embark on your Royal Navy adventure with ten weeks of basic training at our shore base, HMS Raleigh. You can be sure these 10 weeks will test your mind and body.There will be exams to study for and physical challenges to tackle, but you will also have plenty of opportunities to relax and socialise with your fellow recruits.Not many experiences can match the feeling of marching in your passing-out parade - and the sense of achievement that goes with it.
