Course description

Take the first step towards a career in electrical installation.

Discover the principles of electro-technology and how to work with it effectively and safely.

You will also cover:

• Application of health and safety and electrical principles
• Installation (buildings and structures)
• Basic understanding and application of new technology associated with energy saving

You will be assessed by practical assessments and externally set examinations throughout the course. Supported work experience arranged with your tutor.

Entry requirements

You will need GCSEs Grade C/5 or above or above in English and maths; science is preferable but not essential.

Future opportunities

Progress on to a Advanced Apprenticeship in Electrical Installation, Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Building and Structures) or into relevant employment.
