Business A Level (AQA) at The High School for Girls
The last two decades have seen a revolution in attitudes to entrepreneurial activity and the development of globalisation. As a result, Business has become one of the fastest growing A Levels, offering students an opportunity to find out how real businesses organise themselves to achieve a wide range of objectives in a highly competitive global economy.
Students will learn about risk, what makes a successful entrepreneur, financing a business, marketing, human resource management, organising business operations, strategic decision making, investment appraisal and the global environment, and much, much more. A Level Business uses real business case studies as its foundation. Business is taught by experienced teachers with a track record of success. Delivery is via taught lessons using current business examples, up-to-date texts and supported by an extensive range of digital resources.
Students should have achieved Grade B in GCSE Higher Level Mathematics. A Level Business students need to have good communication skills and be confident using numbers.
Assessment is by exmination.
