Level 3 Extended Diploma In IT at CCP Graduate School

Course description

The  Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in IT is a 90-credit and 360-guided-learninghour
(GLH) qualification that consists of two mandatory units plus optional units that provide
for a combined total of 60 credits.

Who is the course for?
This is a vocational course for students with a keen interest in computing. This course
can lead to further study or employment.

Course Content
During induction there will a range of initial
assessments to determine individual study
requirements.

Mandatory units (20 credits)

  • Communication and Employability
  • Skills for IT
  • Computer Systems

Optional units (40 credits)

  • Information Systems
  • Computer Networks
  • Website Production
  • Installing and Upgrading Software

English, Maths and Work Placement offered with the course

Study Methods
Lectures, IT workshops, discussions, group and individual project work.

Entry requirements

16-18 years old.
19 – 24 years old subject to funding
5 GCSEs grades A*-C including English and maths or a Level 2
qualification, or equivalent, in a related subject at merit or above,
with GCSE English and maths at grade C or above.
Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET)
