Foundation Course: Law & Legal Level 2 at Blackfen School for Girls

Course description

The Edexcel BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Law and Legal Work has been developed to give learners the opportunity to: engage in learning that is relevant to them and which will provide opportunities to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal skills and attributes essential for successful performance in working life; achieve a nationally recognised Entry, Level 2 vocationally-related qualification; progress to employment in a particular vocational sector;  progress to related general and/or vocational qualifications.


Course content

Unit 1; The English Legal System, Unit 2; Police and their Powers, Unit 6; Aspects of Family Welfare Law and Practice.


Entry requirements

Students who have not achieved Level 3 entry requirements


All units within this qualification are internally assessed. The qualifications are criterion referenced, based on the achievement of all the specified learning outcomes. To achieve a ‘pass’ a learner must have successfully passed all the

assessment criteria.
