Team Leading Apprenticeship at Furness College
Course description
The Apprenticeship in Team Leading is for anyone who has authority for managing resources and motivating team members to achieve an agreed output.
Course content
Apprentice Level 2
Units studied may include: managing personal performance and development, communicating work-related information, leading and managing a team, principles of team leading and understanding business.
Apprentice Level 3
Units studied may include: managing personal and professional development, managing team performance, principles of leadership and management, principles of people management and principles of business.
Entry requirements
These are dependent on the sector and the criteria of some employers, but they are normally:
Apprentice Level 2: A minimum of four GCSEs at grades A – E or an equivalent qualification.
Assessment
The Apprenticeship is assessed on practical aptitude, a portfolio of work and external assessment. The technical certificate is assessed in your lessons through assignments set by your tutors. Maths and English are assessed by examination and a portfolio of evidence.
Financial information
There are no specific extra costs, just stationery for study.
Future opportunities
The Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3) can progress on to university or employment in the industry.
