Plumbing Apprenticeship at West Cheshire College

Course description

On this Apprenticeship you will learn how hot and cold water systems, central heating systems and drainage systems work. Initially, you will develop basic pipe work skills before moving on to more complex plumbing tasks, including airing cupboards, bathroom suites, above ground sanitation, central heating installation (no gas/oil) and low carbon steel. The various tasks set will provide you with the skills to undertake such work competently and safely as a trainee Plumber. As part of the Apprenticeship framework you will complete functional skills in English, maths, IT and a Level 2/3 NVQ.

A plumbing qualification forms the basis of knowledge for all modern domestic plumbers and is the starting point for anyone wanting a career in plumbing. The Level 2 NVQ is required in order to progress to the Level 3 technical certificate and NVQ in Plumbing. The Apprenticeship would suit any roles in the plumbing trade. The Advanced Apprenticeship would suit any roles in the plumbing trade.

You will gain the NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing
