Sociology A level AQA at Wimbledon College
This qualification offers an engaging and effective introduction to Sociology. Students will learn the fundamentals of the subject and develop skills valued by higher education (HE) and employers, including critical analysis, independent thinking and research.
For Level 3 courses - five or more GCSEs at grades A* to C, with at least 3 B grades entry requirement for each course – this is usually a grade B or better in each subject to be taken at Advanced Level (or BTEC3) or relevant cognate subjects as set out in the published entry requirements (see page 12) for Level 2 courses - five or more GCSEs at A*-D
The course is assessed at AS through two 1 hour 30 mins written examinations of equal weighting. At A Level, there are three 2 hour examinations.
