Business BTEC Level 3 at Runshaw College

Course description

Why should I come to Runshaw to study Business?

Our students learn a number of crucial skills designed to prepare them for the world of business - from accounting to marketing, and from law to retail.

Students are actively encouraged through the dedicated Work Placement Unit at Runshaw to identify work placement opportunities to enhance University and Employment applications.

You will have the opportunity to be involved in several enrichment opportunities, such as external visits and guest speaker presentations. Recent visits have included Alton Towers, British Aerospace, Paris, Belgium, Italy, Moscow, New York, Shanghai and Beijing. Guest speakers have included representatives from the English Legal System, Chamber of Commerce, TUC, Balfour Beatty, Conlons and Manchester United FC.

In addition, our college tutors themselves have run their own business(es) or managed in the private sector, providing authentic, first-hand experience of applying business in real life.

In 2018, 88% of students achieved High Grades, with 61% achieving D*D*D*. 23% of students then progressed on to sponsored degrees.
