Course description

There are five exciting, mandatory units Working in health and social care, Safeguarding and protection in health and social care, Equality, diversity and rights in health, Human growth and development, Communication in health and social care then you need two further units form arrange of optional units including Anatomy and physiology for health and social care, Common care disorders, Creative activities in health and social care and Dementia awareness

Entry requirements

You will need to meet our standard entry requirements.

You will need at least GCSE English Language grade D/3 and a clear DBS check.

Assessment

You need to produce a Portfolio of evidence and all units within these qualifications are internally graded A* - D.

Future opportunities

You could progress onto a Level 3 programme and develop your knowledge and understating or you may choose to go into the workplace and undertake an apprenticeship

Further information

If you do not have a C in Maths or English we will give you the opportunity to gain this alongside your health and social care programme and this will make up your study programme
We also strongly recommend that you undertake a voluntary placement in the health care sector
