Access to Higher Education Diploma: Digital Media/Marketing at East Sussex College

Course description

Our Access courses prepare people for degree-level study in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Teacher Education, Sciences, Health Studies and Digital Media. Many of our students go on to the Universities of Sussex, Brighton and Chichester (where we have some guaranteed interviews and some guaranteed places) and an increasing number of our students gain places at universities throughout Britain. The Access courses are `QAA approved' which means that they are validated by LASER Learning Awards (formerly The Open College Network).On this course you will study units in Digital Media, IT and Marketing. It will prepare you for Digital Media or Marketing degrees.

Entry requirements

You will need to meet our standard entry requirements.

There are no strict entry requirements but, in some cases, it may be advisable to have GCSEs at C/4 grade (English, Maths and Science)in place before starting the Access course.


Students will be asked to submit assignments for each subject unit, and to complete coursework in the core units. Assignments may take the form of essays, reports, textual analysis, seminar presentations and examinations. All students submit a research project which forms a major part of the overall assessment.

This course can provide a pathway to Higher Education programmes.
