Cambridge Technical Subsidiary Diploma in Art and Design (QCF) Y1 at East Sussex College
The Triple Award course is a new full-time art and design course which allows you to expand on the work of our international prize winning Double Award course. Generally, you will have a strong interest in art and you may even have a passion for one area of Art and Design. On the Triple Award we will take you through an immersive and diverse set of units, each centred on one aspect of 2D or 3D Art and Design. From drawing and painting through sculpture, photography, fashion and textiles and onto illustration, animation and video or graphic design. You will work on a series of practical assignments which link together thematically through the first year so that you can develop and find your true personal focus.Often your assignments will be working for real client briefs and on real outcomes. Your work could be exhibited and used in real world situations. With this approach you will work to deadlines and learn professionalism as well as excellence in your area of interest. In the second year, you will build on this experience and the skills you have gathered to apply your ideas and voice to high profile exhibitions and international competitions. We have a strong record of winning competitions like the Royal Opera House Design Challenge as well as building relationships through successful exhibitions at arts organisations such as the Lewes Depot and Charleston Farmhouse.Generally, learners on this course become strong performers who progress to prestigious universities and art schools like Goldsmiths, Central St Martins and The London College of Fashion.
