Level 2 Diploma in Travel & Tourism at East Sussex College
Travel and tourism is a world of endless possibilities. The job of the industry professional is to get people to where they want to go, safely and efficiently and provide them with an experience that exceeds their expectations when they get there. No two customers or destinations or working days are ever the same.
If you have always had a passion for travel, then this course will give you an understanding of this fast-paced, ever-changing industry.
Throughout the year you will meet industry professionals who will enhance your learning with their experience and advice. You will improve your knowledge of the world and also get to train in our excellent facilities, including a working check-in desk and a fully functioning section of an Airbus A320, in which you will practise working coach procedures and other scenarios.
You will also be invited to attend the World Travel Market industry trade show at the Excel Centre in London.

- Interpersonal Skills for the Travel and Tourism Workplace
- UK Travel and Tourism Destinations
- Resort Representatives
- Tour Operations
- Travel Planning
- Principles of Customer Service
4 GCSE's A*- D including English and maths. Equivalent Qualifications may be considered in exceptional circumstances.
Assessment is varied comprising of the following: Online examinations, Role plays, Short answer question sheets, Designing and developing industry manuals, Practical assessment such as transfer speeches and welcome meetings, and Written assignments.
A high level of personal grooming is required for this course. You will need approximately £270 to cover course-related trips, uniform and resources.
Once you have successfully completed this course you can progress onto our Level 3 travel and tourism course or train in Cabin Crew.
