Painting and Decorating (Decorative Operations) - Apprenticeship (Intermediate) - Level 2 at College of West Anglia
This qualification demonstrates competence against the National Occupational Standards for Decorative Finishing and Industrial Painting. At Level 2, you will learn the techniques and gain the confidence to apply high-quality finishes to a variety of surfaces. There are competency qualifications in the Construction Building Apprenticeship Framework (England and Wales) (Decorative Finishing and Industrial Painting pathway). This qualification is aimed at learners aged 16 and above who work or want to work in the construction industry and specialise in the area of decorative finishing.
You will be interviewed and assessed for your potential, commitment and motivation to achieve the apprenticeship, based upon the range and level of activities you will be undertaking in the workplace. You may also need to undergo an initial assessment of your English and maths skills in which you are required to be working at/towards level 1 maths and level 1 English, or higher. At the start of your apprenticeship you will need to be employed by a suitable and appropriate employer for at least 30 hours a week. You will also need to have been a resident in the EU for at least 3 years, not have a level 4 or higher qualification and not be on any other government funded training programme. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 x GCSE grades at C/4 or above. These should include English and Maths.
The course consists of written and online tests, workplace assessments and practical tests at college.
