Engineering Manufacture (Mechanical Production, Maintenance, Technical Support and Electrical/Electronic) - Apprenticeship (Advanced) - Level 3 at College of West Anglia
The engineering apprenticeship is aimed at people who wish to gain experience and qualifications in practical and theoretical skills and work based activities. For example mechanical production and maintenance, technical support and electrical/electronic. The advanced apprenticeship in engineering will provide learners with the opportunity to achieve a framework of qualifications relating to specific pathways. These pathways will be determined by employer led requirements.
You will be interviewed and assessed for your potential, commitment and motivation to achieve the apprenticeship, based upon the range and level of activities you will be undertaking in the workplace. It is strongly recommended that direct entry applicants have achieved a minimum of GCSE grade C in English, maths and science or equivalent. At the start of your apprenticeship you will need to be employed by a suitable and appropriate employer for at least 30 hours a week. You will also need to have been a resident in the EU for at least 3 years, not have a level 4 or higher qualification and not be on any other government funded training programme. Applicants may be eligible to direct entry onto the advanced apprenticeship prior attainment will be taken into account e.g. achievement of the Intermediate Level 2 Apprenticeship.
College tutors/assessors and internal verifiers will ensure that all NVQ portfolios meet the required standard of competence. The technical certificate will also prove competence, knowledge and understanding at level 3.
