Professional Cookery - Level 3 (Diploma) at College of West Anglia

Course description

If you are interested in advancing your skills to work as a chef within the hospitality industry, this course will provide you with advanced skills and experience needed to work in the industry.It is a busy and practical course with real working experience in our own Novus Restaurant and kitchens. Working within the industry whilst studying this course would be an advantage.Course content includes:

  • Advanced practical food preparation
  • Relevant theory aspects
  • Advanced food hygiene

Entry requirements

You will need:

  • Merit in Professional Cookery Level 2, with good attendance and progress reviews
If you are aged 19 or older, relevant industry experience may be accepted.You will be invited to an interview to help us ensure the course is right for you.


Progress on the course is measured through a number of written assignments and short answer tests. Students will also have practical assessments and a final synoptic exam.This qualification will be graded Pass/Merit/Distinction.
